Chirang: The Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL), Bongaigaon Electrical Sub-Division II, has issued a notice regarding a planned power supply shutdown in Chirang district. The shutdown is scheduled to take place from 12:00 AM on January 7, 2025, to 8:00 AM on January 9, 2025.
This power disruption is necessary due to ongoing height-raising work of the 132 KV line near the Bongaigaon Refinery Gate, undertaken by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The shutdown will affect the 33 KV Chapaguri Feeder, leading to power outages in several areas, including Dhaligaon, Chapaguri, Popragaon, Bhiringoan, Bengtol, Shantipur, and Dadgiri.
The Sub-Divisional Engineer of APDCL has requested residents to take note of the scheduled shutdown and make necessary arrangements to minimize inconvenience during this period. The authorities have also advised the public to utilize social media platforms and other communication channels to stay informed about the situation.
This information has been shared with the District Commissioner, Chief Executive Officer of BEC, and Assistant General Manager of BED for coordination and public awareness.
Residents are urged to cooperate with APDCL and plan their activities accordingly to manage the temporary disruption in power supply. For further updates or queries, the public may contact APDCL’s local office.
