Manas : Today l,on 28 Dec 2024, Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma , in charge of Handloom, Textiles, Sericulture, and Soil Conservation, Welfare of Bodoland, visited the Manas National Park to assess its current status.
During his visit, Minister Brahma interacted with a resort owner, who mentioned that over 1,000 foreign tourists are expected to visit this season. The Minister was impressed by the park's natural beauty and serene surroundings.
He emphasized that Manas National Park holds immense potential to become a premier tourist destination in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR), comparable to the renowned Kaziranga National Park.
To maximize its tourism potential and benefit local communities, Minister Brahma pledged to explore strategic initiatives to enhance infrastructure, promote eco-tourism, and ensure the preservation of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
