Kokrajhar: The 20-day production theatre workshop, jointly organized by the Bodoland Territorial Council's (BTC) Department of Cinema & Theatre and eight cultural groups under Bodoland, concluded today (5 January).
The workshop, held from December 11 to 30, 2024, across eight locations in Bodoland, showcased diverse theatre performances.
The closing ceremony at Bodofa Cultural Complex in Chandamari, Kokrajhar, was attended by Phami Brahma, CHD, Department of Cinema and Theatre, BTC, and Buddhiram Basumatary, Assistant Culture Secretary, ABSU, as the guest of honor.
Eight plays were performed by participating cultural troupes, with Sanjeev Kumar Brahma, General Secretary, Lorgi Theatre Group, in attendance.
The culmination of the 20-day Production Oriented Theatre Workshop 2024-25 was marked by a grand finale at Bodofa Cultural Complex, where eight theatre productions by the participants were showcased to a captivated audience.
On the conclusion of the workshop, certificates were presented to all participants by the Cinema & Theatre Department, BTC.
The successful completion of the workshop marks a significant milestone in promoting theatre and cultural exchange in the region.
